A message from Kiko TanePosted 29th July 2026Rebecca warned me on the planning call that her partners never dance. Twenty minutes after the speeches they were in the middle of the floor.
Theo Makris hosted, and I cued every speaker on and off with a short sting so the formal part moved quickly. Through dinner I kept it to soul and jazz funk at conversation volume. The moment the last speech finished I went straight into disco, the mirror ball came on and the partners went first.
Corporate rooms are full of people who think they don't dance. The trick is to start with songs everyone already knows and let the brave ones pull the rest in.
