A message from Kiko TanePosted 18th September 2026Olivia wanted the day to drift from a long lunch into a proper party without anyone noticing the change. That meant reading the garden all afternoon.
Saltwater Social played the long lunch, and I took over as the plates were cleared with soul and bossa nova at background volume. As the shadows got longer I moved into disco and turned it up a little at a time. By the time the sun was going down behind the bridge, half the guests were dancing barefoot on the lawn.
Outdoor sound on a residential street needs care, so I used a compact column system pointed back toward the house and kept the bass low.
