A message from Kiko TanePosted 20th August 2026School formals are about the students, so two weeks before the night I sent a song vote around the year group and let them choose the last song.
Everything I played was a clean edit, checked against the school's list. I kept it current for most of the night, slipped in a few throwbacks the teachers could sing along to, and finished with the song they voted for. Every phone torch in the hall went up.
Town Hall is a heritage building with strict rules on rigging and volume, so the whole setup was agreed with the venue a month ahead.
